The State University of New York is an extensive network of colleges and universities within the state of New York. The institute was established 74 years ago in 1948 and, since then, has become one of the largest such systems of educational institutions in the United States. As of 2022, SUNY has 64 campuses spread across the state, which are centrally managed by the interim chancellor Deborah F. Stanley.
